Ugh I just noticed that one of the Open Diary entries for this year didn't get didn't get saved or I didn't save it properly. No worries. >_<

I finally was able to get my sleep beddings (sleeping bag and blanket) washed two days ago. Smiley That was a relief. It had been months, but I had kept it as clean as I could. My sleeping wear gear is washed when I can and I cover my head and hands so as not to get the beddings more dirtier.

Yesterday was a rare but frustrating event. Nice in that I got to bathe a 2nd time in a week but unfortunate that it used up resoursces / and clean clothing. Plus wear and tear on my other pants that is still somewhat wearable.

I've had enough money to buy some much needed socks, at least I think I do.. I should be able to at least get 3, for a few weeks now but have been unable to get to a store to acquire some. I don't have a key to the place I'm staying at and if I get caught outside in the weather that could be bad.  I guess I'll just wait for a further opportunity.  The closest target location for purchase is probably about 2 miles away, so it's not far at all though it is a bit challenging for a pedestrian as I'll have to walk accross 1 highway entry point and 2 highway exit points.

In other news bus services are closing for my area to save the system money. So I'll have a bit of a walk to try to hook up with a bus to travel to another spot to hook up with other services.

Access to the internet or even privacy is now a lot less. Still trying to find some electricity so I could type & save offline (in the rare case I get privacy ha ha).

I heard there was a recent election in the state of Massachusetts. And the winner has vowed to end the current attempt to get more people access to medical care for the country. That really sucks and isn't very nice.

At least I have money to buy socks.

22 January 2010

Yesterday my country's Supreme Court removed some Federal campaign funding limitations that were placed on corporations, unions and I think non-profits (which can be pretty big as I use to work for a regional billion dollar profit "non-profit" at one time). This was done in regards to how a previous Supreme Court ruling gave 'entity' rights to such groups.  Personally I think this decision has caused massive damage to an already fragile situation for my country's democracy.. but technically based on their previous ruling many decades ago what they did was correct. Previous legislative /and the people that elected them should have stopped this danger long time ago but they didn't/opposing forces successfully thwarted the attempt to stop this vulnerability in my country's democratic process. And now something very very bad will happen by letting the shackles off entities whose primary goal is not in the best interest of the public but themselves. It's incredibly disheartening.

Today has been very busy. Got up before 2:30 AM PST to get a lot of cleaning done another nobody will do it but it got to get done stuff done..and finished just before 5 I think. Found some food to eat.

I'm not sure that I'll be able to get a machine together by March to explore the BSD operating system. Not that it was a priority. The current machine I'm borrowing that allows me browse (though is so old it can only do audio part of YouTube) is beginning to fail. Also my only machine this 500mhz one.. is dying too. No worries really as my life really is more transient and things I have by the environment have to reflect an ability to go. To much stuff not essential to the ability to hold identity papers and keep moving to avoild loitering charges and anti-homeless presence charges have to be kept in mind.

I really need to get in more shape so as to be ready when I have to vacate this place and stay awake enought to stay clean and awake to utilize a libraries internet terminal. If one falls asleep in the library and is a transient you can get banned for quite a few months if not a year.

Back to the Supreme Court ruling. Of my country's remaining few allies. I noticed Australia newspaper didn't even mentioned this. But British did so that was nice that they noticed. I wonder if Romania noticed as well.

It's rather cold for some reason. I've got part of my face wrapped up but some cold air is still getting in. I'm not sure if it's my body. Despite trying to sleep in earlier.. food allocation for the night got moved further up so I had to stay up longer to get some food. So I wasn't able to get good sleep. I was able to get drinkable water this morning so that's good. Smiley
